Claflen
Associates was formed in 1976 to provide architectural and urban
design services based upon the experience and approach of George
Claflen, former chairman of the Division of Architecture at
Temple University. This unique practice is directly reponsible
for more than $20,000,000 of construction in place.
We
approach architecture not as collection of shapes and prior
solutions, but as a design process in which a realistic appreciation
of the clients intentions, budget, technical, and project constraints
provides the foundation for the development of appropriate and
particularly satisfying solutions.
The
consultancy makes intensive use of George Claflen's wide experience
in design and international network of colleagues and consultants.
The staff consists at this time exclusively of honor graduates.
This
team does its best work on challenging projects, which demand
the utmost in vision and professionalism.

The
newly completed Common Ground Project at 23rd and Berks Streets,
Philadelphia, PA, is part of the Fairmount Park Art Association
New-Land-Marks program.
